Terms of Service

Last updated: May 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website at divyamworld.co (the “Site”), operated by Divyam (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

The Site is intended for users who are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area). By using the Site, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Intellectual property

The Site contains two distinct categories of content:

  • Public-domain devotional texts — the verses of Chalisas, Aartis, Bhajans, and Mantras themselves, attributed to traditional poets such as Tulsidas, Ayodhyadas, Devidas, and others. These texts are part of the public domain and the shared cultural and religious heritage of Hindu tradition.
  • Original editorial content — all commentary, meaning, history, ritual instructions, significance, FAQ, transliterations, layout, design, code, branding, and selection and arrangement of materials on the Site are owned by Divyam or licensed to us. This editorial content is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may read, print, and personally use our editorial content for non-commercial personal study and devotion. You may quote short passages with proper attribution. You may not, without our prior written permission, reproduce, republish, redistribute, modify, or create derivative works from our editorial content for commercial purposes or in a manner that could be confused with the Site itself.

3. Permitted use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Site, the servers on which the Site is hosted, or any related system;
  • Use any automated means (including bots, scrapers, or crawlers, except those obeying our robots.txt) to access the Site for purposes other than search-engine indexing;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation, security, or availability;
  • Use the Site to distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content.

4. Editorial content and accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that commentary, transliteration, and ritual information are accurate and reflect mainstream interpretations of Hindu devotional traditions. Devotional traditions are diverse, and reasonable scholars and practitioners may disagree on specific points. The Site presents one well-researched reading; it is not exhaustive or final.

For details on how we source and review content, see our Editorial Standards.

5. Disclaimer

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim, to the maximum extent permitted by law, all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

The Site is a reading and learning resource. It is not religious, medical, legal, or financial advice. See our Disclaimer for details.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Divyam, its operators, contributors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Site; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Site; or (c) unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

7. Third-party links and content

The Site may contain links to or content from third parties. We are not responsible for, and do not endorse, the content, products, services, or practices of any third-party site or service. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

8. Advertising

9. Modifications to the Site and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site or any part of it at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

We may, at our sole discretion, terminate or suspend your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
